Cermetek Microelectronics, Inc. today announced the purchase of Xecom Incorporated of Milpitas, CA. Cermetek and Xecom have each served the embedded communications field for more than 20 years.

Cermetek supplies high performance modems, Internet appliance modems and telephone interface modules to selective alarm, monitor and control customers. Xecom designs and manufactures modem and ISM band wireless products for embedded applications. The customers of both companies will benefit from the broader array of products and the combined capabilities of Cermetek and Xecom.
