WATER TREATMENT FREEZE MONITOR

CH1837A ET; Telephone Line Interface Module, Transmits Freeze Alarms. |
DESCRIPTION:
Ice can be very destructive to our infrastructure. The critical property of water is that it expands by about ten percent when it freezes. As a result, any container or pipe filled with water can be broken by the expanding ice. Freeze monitors have bee placed in use to prevent the damage caused as the broken pipes freeze.
When a freeze condition is approached, the freeze monitor transmits an alarm in the form of a recorded message over the telephone network. The recorded message is used so that the problem can be clearly understood by the home owner or facility manager taking the call. The telephone network is used because it is our most reliable communications network. Multiple numbers can be called to insure the alarm message is delivered.
Why Cermetek?
The Cermetek CH1837A ET provides a reliable link to the telephone network. Cermetek tests each CH1837A ET at -40° and +85° Celsius to confirm in freezing and near-boiling conditions. The hermetically sealed epoxy case prevents any condensation on the electronics so there will be no degradation in performance over time.
