| Low Speed modems, those operating at 2400 bits per second or less, are still used in applications where the amount of data to be transferred is small. |

Because these lower speed modems can connect much more quickly than high speed modems, an application with less than 2K bits of data can actually complete communications faster at 2400 bits per second than any of the faster protocols.

- Agency Compliance: All of our modems include transferable FCC Part 68 Registration. In addition some are TBR21 compliant for use in the European Union and some are certified for use in Canada.

- Packages: Cermetek offers modems in a variety of packages including hermitically sealed products for harsh environments, open circuit board modules for lowest cost, and a choice of through-hole or surface-mount. These products offer a choice of size including the world’s smallest Modem Modules requiring less than 1 square inch of board space.

- Evaluation Kits: Cermetek offers Evaluation Kits for many of our low-speed Modem Modules. The evaluation kits include a modem mounted on an adapter board which can be connected to a PC serial port. You can then issue commands to exercise the modules and confirm they meet the system requirements. These evaluation kits are priced from $75.
