Increasingly OEM designers are utilizing the advantages of the Internet in their embedded systems designs. Cermetek offers a variety of device servers for these embedded applications.
Dial-Up Solutions
Cermetek offers a number of embedded modem modules with an internal TCP/IP stack. These modules permit a dial-up Internet connection for data communications including Email communications. These modem modules including the CH2165, CH2166 and CH2166A provide an economical embedded Internet connectivity solution.
Serial to Ethernet
Cermetek offers a low cost serial to Ethernet Device Server in the XE232NET. The XE232NET provides 10base-T Ethernet communications directly to the serial port of the embedded controller. All of the hardware and software needed for the Ethernet connection are included in the XE232NET module.
Evaluation Kits
Cermetek offers evaluation kits for our embedded device servers. The evaluation kits include the selected device server mounted on a adapter board which can be connected directly to a PC serial port. This permits the developer to easily exercise these devices and verify suitability. These evaluation kits are priced from $75 to $200.
